4. The Scott County Fair Association does not own the rights to, nor does it operate, the places of amusement along the midway. The Fair Association assumes no responsibility for accidents or the negligence of the operators of these rides and places of amusement.

12. In the event that there is only one entry competing for the premium, the judge will determine the prize to be awarded.
13. Any exhibit that does not merit a premium in the judge's estimation will be eliminated.
14. Only fair officials, department superintendents, committee members, and judges will be allowed in the arena while judging is in progress.
15. No premiums will be paid on entries except those listed in this catalog.
16. Premiums will be paid in accordance with the superintendent’s records, not according to the location of the ribbons.

Know Before You Show
2026 Fair, Show, and Exhibition Regulations
The Tennessee Dept of Agriculture requests that you take a moment to review the "Know Before You Show" webpage. It contains a summary of regulations and health requirements, as well as accepted official identification for livestock participating in Tennessee fairs, shows and exhibitions.
This webpage also provides practical biosecurity guidance to help prevent the spread of disease at livestock shows and exhibitions. It outlines simple, effective steps to take before, during, and after events.
Please note that exhibitors may only bring healthy animals to any exhibition and should be vigilant and monitor for signs of illness or infection in their animals and work closely with veterinarians if concerns arise. It also highlights best practices such as isolating new or returning animals, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and trailers, and maintaining good hygiene throughout events.
o If you think it is contagious, it probably is… LEAVE IT!
o The visit should be made as close to the show as possible.
For any questions, please contact the State Veterinarian's office by phone at (615) 837-5120 or by e-mail at animal.health@tn.gov
